I took a piece of\u00a010&#8242; of\u00a01 1\/2&#8243; PVC pipe and cut relief slits at one end. I slid two radiator hose clamps over that end, inserted the pole trimmer and then tightened the clamps. It works great but gets real wobbly when extended fully. You kind of wiggle it into the general area of the branch, rest and then re-position for the cut.
